1 Shot Inside Burbank Liquor Store, Gun Recovered At Scene

BURBANK, IL — Police are still trying to piece together what happened Sunday afternoon when a man was shot inside a Burbank business. The shooting remains under investigation.

Around 3:15 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting at Burbank Food, Liquor and Deli, 4818 W. 83rd St. When officers arrived, they found a 36-year-old man who had been injured by gunfire. The man was taken to a local hospital where he remains in stable condition.

Deputy Chief William Casey, of the Burbank Police Department, called the shooting an “isolated incident” and that there is no threat to public safety.

“We identified everyone on the scene, “ Casey told Patch. “We recovered a gun.”

No one has been charged in the shooting. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Burbank Police Department at 708-924-7300
