Bridgeview Man On Electronic Monitoring Found With Drugs, Guns: Police
Cook County Sheriff's Police said investigators receive a tip that the 21-year-old man was selling drugs while on electronic monitoring.
COOK COUNTY, IL – A Bridgeview man awaiting trial on felony gun and drug charges is accused of selling drugs and possessing guns while on electronic monitoring. Saul Hernandez, 21, appeared Friday in the Maywood Courthouse on additional charges of delivery of a controlled substance-cocaine, and one count each of armed violence, violation of conditional release/firearm, possession of cocaine, cannabis, MDMA and psilocybin with intent to deliver.
A Cook County judge ordered Hernandez to be returned to Cook County Jail.
The months-long investigation began last year after Cook County Sheriff’s Police said they received information that Hernandez was selling drugs. Investigators set up an undercover operation where they purchased drugs from Hernandez on multiple occasions, sheriff’s police said.

Police executed a search warrant last Wednesday at Hernandez’s residence in the 7700 block of South Harlem Avenue in Bridgeview. There, sheriff’s police said they found a bounty of illegal firearms, various narcotics and a substantial amount of cash from inside his residence.
Recovered was a 12-gauge shotgun, two AK pistols, three semi automatic handguns – including one that was stolen – one .38 caliber revolver, one extended magazine, 157 grams of suspect cocaine, 5,152 grams of cannabis, 19 grams of suspect MDMA (powdered ecstasy), 1,083 grams of THC oils, 757 grams of THC gummies, 770 grams of packaged psilocybin “magic mushroom” bars, and more than $17,600 cash, sheriff’s police said.
