Calvary Church Shines Bright With Tree Lighting, Festive Celebration

Calvary Church hosts a free family event Sunday, Dec. 10, featuring ponies, carols, raffles, food, tree lighting, Nativity and more.

OAK LAWN, IL — Celebrate the start of the holiday season this Sunday, Dec. 10, at Calvary Church, 10056 S. Central Ave., Oak Lawn. All residents are invited.

The FREE family event features carols, raffles, treats, games, crafts – and PONIES. Church members will light the 40-foot tree on the lawn of the church. Calvary Church youth will be selling hot chili to raise money for their winter retreat.

Nativity - 6 p.m.
Tree Lighting - 6:25-6:30 p.m
Food, activities - 6:40 p.m
Raffles drawn - 7:45 p.m.

Free hot dogs, chips, hot chocolate and coffee will be served. The Oak Lawn Community High School choir will be stopping by along with the Ozinga Merry Mixer. Stick around for karaoke carols. Warm up by the fire pits and play some games.
