CCHS Lady Knights defeated Carver Military Academy Challengers

IHSA Girls Soccer 1A Regional Match

On Tuesday afternoon, the girls' soccer team from Chicago Christian High School took to the field to face off against their IHSA 1A Regional opponent, the Carver Military Academy Challengers.

The first few minutes of the game both teams were pressing hard to gain control of the ball. But it was the Chicago Christian girls who struck first, scoring a goal within the first three minutes of the game.

Energized by their fast start, the Knights began to play with more confidence, passing the ball fluidly and taking advantage of every scoring opportunity that came their way.

Despite their best efforts and unfortunately because of some player injuries, the Challengers were unable to stop the Chicago Christian Knights.

When asked about the game, Coach Keith Budinger stated, "It was a challenging game on many fronts. I was very pleased with our level of concentration, quality of passing and finishing. We put together several very positive phases of play and scored some good goals. A very professional performance by a very motivated team. We now look forward to our Regional IHSA Final on Friday against Peotone."
