OAK LAWN, IL -- Bring your pooch for an Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, April 7 at the Oak Lawn Park District’s Bailey’s Crossing Dog Park. Pet-oriented vendors and doggie contests are featured for a stimulating afternoon with your best friend from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The cost is $5 per household and pre-registration is required.

Gates open to the public and vendors at 10 a.m. The egg hunt starts promptly at 10:35 a.m. The contests, raffles and prizes will follow. Contests include best trick, best costume (any costume can enter), dog-celebrity look-alike contest, furthest dog, and most tricks in 30 seconds -- so better start working on your dog’s beer-fetching skills now.

This is a leashed event, so all dogs need to be on a leach. Registration is required before March 30 (use code 316301-01). Bailey’s Crossing Dog Park is located at 9910 S. Melvina Ave. in Oak Lawn (across from Columbus Manor Park). Attendees who bring dog toys, food or treats to be donated to local shelters will receive an extra raffle ticket.
