BURBANK, IL — A new Goodwill Store and Donation Center opened Tuesday in Burbank. The new location offers uniquely good finds for the budget conscious shopper, including apparel, jewelry, shoes, decor, media, housewares and more.

The new 8,600-square-foot facility at 7770 S. Cicero Ave., Burbank, offers a modern, welcoming design with wood grain, brass fixtures and a warm color palette. This new look and feel is part of a multi-year customer experience rollout across all Goodwill Store & Donation Centers Of Southeastern Wisconsin and Metropolitan Chicago. The re-do includes interior refreshes, additional storage bins to keep donations safe and protected, and parking lot maintenance.

“We invite the Burbank community to stop by to enjoy an exceptional shopping and donating experience where they’ll find a wide range of donated items stocked daily to browse and purchase at affordable prices,” said Skip Dexter chief retail officer at Goodwill Industries. “We look forward to meeting our neighbors and demonstrating the heart of Goodwill within our new community.”

The opening of the store and donation center is part of Goodwill’s strategy to expand its retail footprint within metropolitan Chicago to meet growing demand for affordable shopping options. Goodwill is focused on environmental sustainability, diverting over 150 million pounds of clothing and household items from landfills in 2021 with the help of local shoppers and donors.

Goodwill is a leading workforce development nonprofit that provides training, employment and supportive services across 23 counties within southeastern Wisconsin and metropolitan Chicago. Revenue generated by Goodwill Store & Donation Center purchases and donations directly supports workforce development programs and services to help people with disabilities or barriers to work to build skills and find employment in their local communities.

In 2021, Goodwill served 1,991 people in Cook County through its job resource and community-based support programs and employed 1,969 Cook County residents across various areas of the organization. Goodwill matched local jobseekers and employers through its Workforce Connection Centers, which provides free in-person and virtual employment services for people 16 and older such as resume and job application assistance.

Visit or donate to the Burbank Goodwill Store and Donation Center during normal business hours of 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
