OAK LAWN, IL — If you haven’t already, don’t waste time making reservations if you plan to celebrate Mom with brunch at her favorite restaurant on Mother’s Day, which falls on Sunday, May 14, this year.

Local restaurants in the Oak Lawn area could use the business as they continue to face economic headwinds that began with the COVID-19 pandemic. Some restaurants may be closed, so their employees can support their own mothers or be pampered by their children, but here are some options:

The Hilton Oak Lawn's Grand Ballroom is putting on a grand spread fit for a queen – your mom - featuring bottomless mimosas and an all-you-can-eat buffet. Join the Lyric Theatre on May 14 for its inaugural Mother’s Day Brunch. Thank mom for all she does throughout the year by bringing her to a beautiful venue for a brunch buffet with lots of options for everyone in the family to enjoy. Brunch will be served from 11am – 1pm.
Included in the buffet is a hot breakfast featuring bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, baked French toast, quiches, and biscuits and gravy. Hot lunch offers sliced ham, pasta with chicken, pot roast, stuffed shells, mashed potatoes with gravy, and steamed mixed vegetables, along with a cold station featuring fruit and yogart parfaits, fruit salad, assorted berries and melon, assorted vegetables and dip, shrimp cocktail, garden salad, strawberry and spinach salad, pasta salad, assorted deli meats and cheeses, variety of crackers and breadsticks.
