OAK LAWN, IL — The Village of Oak Lawn will kick off Independence Day 2023 with a parade at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 1. A concert will immediately follow the parade on the village green with a concert by Anthem, which plays classic rock and beyond.

This year's parade route has been changed to begin at 95th and 49th Avenue and proceed westbound on 95th Street to 55th Ct. The parade line up will be staged at the Northwestern College /Fifth Third Bank campus located just west of 95th & Cicero.

Following the parade, head to the Village Green for more family fun. In addition to the concert, a bouncy house, face painter, and balloon artist are among the activities for children. Local food vendors Smilin' Clyde's hot dogs and El Chavis Taquizas will also have food for sale. Don't forget to bring a blanket or lawn chair.

The Oak Lawn Park District fireworks display will begin at dusk on Tuesday, July 4th, at Richards High School, 106th Street and Central Avenue.
