OAK LAWN, IL — Eileen O’Neill, a student in Oak Lawn Community High School’s Graphic Design 2 class, was awarded the grand prize in a Computer Imagery Poster Contest for Illinois Church Action on Alcohol and Addiction Problems. Eileen conducted research, sketched her design, and re-sketched her design based on peer feedback.

Eileen’s original artwork and graphic design elements earned her the top prize, an Amazon Fire 11 Tablet.

"Eileen is very deserving of this award. She is a super-talented student and a leader in the classroom,” OLCHS graphic design teacher Jackey Hartmann said. “She completed research on the harmful effects of drug use and included all original artwork in the design. We are so proud of her. Way to go Eileen."
