OAK LAWN, IL — The OLCHS iTeam, otherwise known as students in the Technology Support Internship class, are using their tech skills to help members of the community. This group of students have become learning resources beyond the walls of Oak Lawn Community High School.

At Simmons Middle School, the iTeam created a fun, interactive lessons for sixth and
seventh graders using Sphero robots. The OLCHS students taught the middle schoolers
basic coding skills, then challenged them to move the robots through obstacle courses.
"My favorite part was seeing all the children laugh and have fun," Heidi Solis, a junior from Hometown, said.

The iTeam also visited Palos Heights Senior Living, a Spectrum retirement community,
to provide basic technology assistance to residents. The OLCHS students helped senior
citizens save photos, delete apps and use features on their cell phones.
People should have access to this kind of support all the time,” said Tristan
Witowski, a junior from Chicago Ridge.
