OAK LAWN, IL — Oak Lawn police issued 406 citations during the Memorial Day “Click It or Ticket” enforcement period.

Officers wrote a record breaking 328 citations for seat belt violations. In addition, the following tickets were issued:

  • 21 child car seat citations
  • 04 suspended/revoked licenses
  • 01 uninsured motorists
  • 02 speeding citations
  • 02 reckless driving citations
  • 01 drug arrests

The “Click It or Ticket” campaign is funded with federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
