Rainy Days Ahead and (Gasp!) Maybe Some Snow

This week's Chicago-area weather will be nothing like Sunday. Plus, our live weather radar map.

Hope you enjoyed Sunday’s sunny sky and 65-degree temperatures because the week ahead will be wet and possibly end with snowfall.

We have a 30 percent chance of rain later today, primarily after 4 p.m., with cloudy skies and a high near 58. The chance of rain increases to 60 percent through the evening, according to the National Weather Service forecast. An anomalously moist airmass heads our way from the Gulf of Mexico, bringing possible thunderstorms on Tuesday.

Rain continues Wednesday, and we could get 1.5 to 3 inches of rainfall by the end of the day, with potential flooding in low-lying, flood-prone areas.
