Richards takes 13th at state bowling finals

Amazing season included first sectional title in three decades

The varsity girls bowling team from Richards High School took 13th place at the IHSA state finals last weekend. Sophomore Ulyssa Garcia finished in 30th place with a total pinfall of 2392 over both days.

This team placed 13th out of more than 200 teams in Illinois and produced a season full of achievement. They won their second straight South Suburban Conference Red Division championship, took second at their IHSA Regional, and won the first IHSA Sectional in more than three decades.

Ed Fink, Brian Waight, and Dominic Stahulak serves as girls bowling coaches at Richards.
