The varsity and junior varsity girls bowling teams from Richards High School both won first place at the Bremen Invitational this weekend. That's two straight tournament titles for varsity.
Varsity, which never trailed, took first place behind individual champion Katie Barr, who rolled a 767 for her four games. Ulyssa Garcia placed third and tossed the tournament's high game with a 213 (Richards also rolled the high team game with a 931.)
Junior varsity also won first place. After trailing by 8 pins after the first game the Bulldogs rallied and never trailed. Prachi Patel placed second individually with a four-game total pin fall of 549 -- Stazie Thoma took 3rd with a 533 and Laurin Jacobs took 5th with a 505.
