RidgeFest 2022 Offers 80s Hair Bands, Family Entertainment, Big Rides

CHICAGO RIDGE, IL — RidgeFest 2022 is back with a vengeance, featuring a lineup of 80s power rock bands and local acts. Get ready to party July 28 through July 31 on the grounds of Freedom Park at Birmingham and Oak.

Featuring bands, food, beer, rides, family entertainment, musical fireworks and a merchant lane carrying everything from handcrafted items to light-up toys, it's easy to see why Southsiders flock to RidgeFest year after year.

Pick up a few baubles or a handcrafted item at Merchant Lane, or head over to Restaurant Row, featuring popular local restaurants and carnival fare.

Admission is $10 all three days, with free admission to Chicago Ridge residents on Sunday (proof of residency required).

Thrill seekers can pick up a mega pass during RidgeFest for $40, which covers admission all three days and rides (best deal, especially for kids over 12).

On Sunday, July 31, there is a $20 ride special from 3 to 6 p.m.

FRIDAY, JULY 29, 5:30 to 11:30 p.m.

• The Hair Band Nite, 6:30 to 7:45 p.m., featuring 80s hair music by Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Motley, Def Leppard, Poison and MORE!
• HEADLINER: Slaughter, 8:15 TO 9:45 p.m.
• HEADLINER: Great White, 10 to 11:30 p.m.

SATURDAY, JULY 30, 3 to 11:30 p.m.

• FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT: 3 to 7 p.m.

• Hugo’s Young Elvis, 6 to 7:30 p.m.
• GooRoos, 8 to 9:30 p.m.
• HEADLINER: Voices of Classic Rock, featuring Steve Augeri (Journey), John Payne (Asia) and Fran Cosmo (Boston), with laser show.

SUNDAY, JULY 31, 3 to 10:30 p.m.

• Admission free for Chicago Ridge residents with proof of residency
• An American Prayer, 5 to 6:30 p.m.
• One of These Nights, 6:45 to 8 p.m.
• HEADLINER: Forever Seger, 8:15 to 9:30 p.m. and 10 to 10:30 p.m.
• Fireworks, 9:40 to 10 p.m.
