OAK LAWN, IL — Sometimes the missing piece to a puzzle fits in and completes the job. Even though Ivan Zamora started the season at the junior varsity level, he may have been the missing piece for the Oak Lawn Community High School varsity boys volleyball team.

Zamora was promoted to the varsity team in the middle of the season and contributed well. He played solid defense, did great passing the ball, and came up with consistent serving.

“He is the unsung hero of this season,” head coach Matt Hunt said. “The varsity team was dealing with injuries and serve receive and defense issues, so Ivan was pulled up to solidify those needs. He stepped up in big games for us. The future is bright for Ivan.”
