Orland Park Mayor Keith Pekau Wins Republican Primary For IL-06: NBC

NBC projected Pekau to win the spot Tuesday night. Pekau will run against projected Democrat winner Sean Casten.

ORLAND PARK, IL — The polls have now closed in Illinois and results are almost final for the Republicans seeking the nomination for the Illinois sixth congressional district. Voters chose between Burr Ridge Mayor Gary Grasso, Orland Park Mayor Keith Pekau, Niki Conforti, Catherine O'Shea, Scott Kaspar and Robert Cruz.

According to NBC News, Orland Park Mayor Keith Pekau is the projected winner of the Republican primary.

Pekau will run against the Democratic candidate — projected to be Sean Casten — for a two-year term in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Keith Pekau: 19,312 *

Catherine O'Shea: 4,989

Scott Kaspar: 3,455

Robert Cruz: 2,883

The winners of both primaries will face each other in the November general election.
