Kurland Insurance Donates $1,000 To P.A.W.S Tinley Park

ORLAND PARK, IL —Kurland Insurance Agency donated $1,000 to P.A.W.S. Tinley Park after becoming a finalist in the Animal Welfare Photo Contest, according to a news release.

Kurland Insurance is a family owned and operated company, established in 1948, according to their website. Life and health advisor at Kurland Insurance, Brenda Nelson, created the fundraiser. Nelson has offered her time volunteering at the shelter in Tinley Park for over a year, according to the news release.

P.A.W.S. in Tinley Park is no-kill animal shelter dedicated to the protection of domestic animals and the attempt to prevent cruelty in the surrounding communities, according to the news release.

Mona Kurland, Marketing and Communications Director of Kurland Insurance said in a news release "Our goal at Kurland Insurance is to do our part in helping adoption efforts in our community because we know that pets are more than just animals, they are family."

With a declining economy non-profits are exposed to a significant drop in funding, according to the news release. Kurland Insurance entered the contest that generated 2,700 votes and 80 shares on Facebook, ultimately scoring a spot as a top 10 finalists.

President of the Kurland Insurance Agency, Matthew Kurland said "We look forward to continuing our relationship with P.A.W.S. of Tinley Park," according to the news release.
