OSWEGO, IL — Three cars crashed Thursday morning near the intersection of Route 34 and Pearces Ford, sending one person to a hospital, according to Oswego police.

In the Friday morning blotter, officials reported the crash that happened around 9:08 a.m. near the Mill Race Creek subdivision. Spokesperson Cathy Nevara told Patch a 52-year-old man from Crystal Lake was driving a Ford southwest on Route 34, approaching the cars stopped at the light, when he collided with a Chevrolet, driven by a 30-year-old from Oswego.

In a chain reaction, the Oswego driver then hit the next car stopped, a Honda driven by a 61-year-old woman from Plainfield, Nevara said. The woman was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
