KENDALL COUNTY, IL — Heat index values of 105 degrees are a possibility as hot and muggy conditions are expected throughout the week, according to the National Weather Service.

Monday's high is 97, with a peak index value of 105. For the rest of the week, peak heat index values of 100 degrees are possible. Tuesday will have a high of 93, Wednesday a high of 95 and Thursday a high of 97 degrees.

"Periodic chances for showers and storms are also expected over the next few days, but most hours should be dry," the weather service said.
