KENDALL COUNTY, IL — Extremely hot and potentially stormy weather is predicted in the Chicago area, and that includes Oswego. The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory until 8 p.m. for northern Illinois, with a possible heat index of 105 degrees, Tuesday.

If you find yourself without air conditioning, here are some locations in Kendall County where you might find relief. The county reminds residents to call ahead to make sure a cooling center is open before heading there.
