Douglas Road To Close For Sanitary Sewer Improvements

The Fox Metro Water Reclamation District is installing a new sanitary sewer line on the busy Oswego thoroughfare.

OSWEGO, IL — Douglas Road will close later this month to accommodate sanitary sewer work, village officials announced.

In an alert Thursday, officials said the busy Oswego thoroughfare will close from Woolley Road to Collins Road starting Jan. 24, weather permitting. Staff said they do not have an exact end date for the construction but expect it to take a week.

The Fox Metro Water Reclamation District is handling the construction.

Detour signs will be posted to guide drivers, who are encouraged to plan travel times accordingly. The intersection of Woolley Road and Collins Road will remain open as part of the detour, officials said.
