Fight At PrairieFest: Oswego Police Look To Identify People Involved

An Aurora boy, 16, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting a peace officer in connection with the fight, police said.

OSWEGO, IL — A fight broke out June 15 at PrairieFest in downtown Oswego, and police are looking to identify the people involved.

As of Tuesday afternoon, a 16-year-old Aurora boy was arrested by Oswego police and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting a peace officer in relation to the fight that broke out at about 8:37 p.m., according to a news release.

Police said no victims were identified; however, detectives reviewed videos and believe a man and a woman were victims.

Officials said they are not releasing the video due to participants being minors but are asking the victims to come forward. Police are also asking anyone who may have witnessed the fight or have information about it to contact the department at 630-551-7300.

Anonymous tips can be provided to Oswego police via their website or by calling Kendall County Crime Stoppers at 630-553-5999. The organization could provide up to $1000 as a cash reward to those who share information that leads to an arrest.
