Fleeing Driver Charged After Hit-And-Run Crash: Oswego Police
A 76-year-old Montgomery man, whose car was hit Sunday at an Oswego intersection, reported non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
OSWEGO, IL — A man who left the scene of a June 30 crash that resulted in two hospitalizations was arrested and charged, Oswego police said.
Robert K. Hefner, of Yorkville, is facing one count of leaving the scene of an accident, driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license, and disregarding a traffic control device
The man was taken into custody following an investigation into a crash that happened at about 4:51 p.m. at the intersection of Douglas Road and Fernwood Road.

Witnesses reported a Kia Optima heading north on Douglas Road did not stop at a red light and crashed into a Ford Maverick that was turning left from Fernwood Road onto Douglas Road. Police located Hefner in the 1700 block of Douglas Road, near Pet Supplies Plus, according to a news release.
The driver of the truck, a 76-year-old man from Montgomery, reported non-life-threatening injuries, police said. He was examined by medics at the scene and declined to be taken to the hospital.

Both cars were towed from the scene.
Hefner is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 13.
