Former NFL Defensive End To Train Oswego Youth

Oswego kids and teenagers can sign up in teams of five for the event featuring combine drills, lineman games, food and prizes.

OSWEGO, IL — A former NFL defensive end will train Oswego youth in a "Terror In The Trenches" event in July.

Derek Walker, who was signed by the Washington Redskins in 2009 as an undrafted free agent, will train Oswego kids and teenagers July 13-14. In a post, the Oswego Area Chamber of Commerce said participants can sign up in teams of five featuring combine drills, lineman games, food and prizes.

Training will include the 20-yard dash, broad and vertical jumping, one-on-ones, the bench press, the short shuttle and tug of war.

Kids ages 8-11 will train from noon to 2 p.m. both days, and 12-14-year-olds will follow from 2-4 p.m.
