OSWEGO, IL — National Cinema Day returns for the second annual year Sunday, giving locals a chance to see summer blockbusters, including "Barbie" and "Oppenheimer" for $4.

Oswego's Classic Cinemas Kendall 11 theater is among the participants in the initiative. The effort started last year to get people back in movie theaters.

The $4 deal represents a savings of more than half on a movie ticket, with prices averaging about $10.35, according to the National Cinema Foundation, which is sponsoring National Cinema Day. About 30,000 screens in 3,000 locations are participating.
