Man Sexually Assaults Woman During Oswego Home Invasion: Police

Oswego police are asking for the community's help in identifying the suspect involved in a home invasion and criminal sexual assault.

OSWEGO, IL — A man sexually assaulted a woman during a home invasion Saturday night in Oswego, police said.

Oswego detectives are investigating the home invasion and criminal sexual assault case that occurred around 10 p.m. Saturday in the 0-300 block of South Adams Street just off the downtown area. The man fled before officers arrived, and police have since been unable to locate him.

The man entered the woman's home through an unlocked door, officials said.

Police released surveillance footage stills Tuesday evening, showing the man inside the woman's home. He was described as having a medium build with a full beard. He wore shoes, long shorts, a jacket and a baseball cap.

Officials believe the man was driving a red-colored sedan.
