Movies Under The Stars Returns To Oswego's Venue 1012

OSWEGO, IL — Weather in the Chicagoland area is becoming attuned to the season, and that means outdoor activities are starting to blossom. In Oswego, Movies Under the Stars is returning Thursday to kick off the season with a showing of Disney's "Encanto."

Venue 1012, where the movies will be screened, will open at 6:30 p.m. ahead of the movie's start time at dusk. In the interim, visitors can play lawn games — available on a first-come, first-served basis — and participate in a raffle that starts at 7:30 p.m.

This summer, family-friendly movies will be screened every few weeks. After "Encanto," showings will include:

• June 23: "The Game Plan"
• Aug. 18: "Luca"
• Aug. 31: "Spider-Man: No Way Home"

Movie-goers can bring lawn chairs and blankets to cozy up with during the show, but tents and canopies are prohibited. While outside food and drink aren't allowed into the venue, food, beer, wine and soda will be available for purchase.
