New Images, Video Released In Oswego Home Invasion, Sexual Assault

OSWEGO, IL — Police released new surveillance footage related to the home invasion and sexual assault that took place Saturday night near downtown Oswego.

Oswego detectives continue to investigate the home invasion and criminal sexual assault case that occurred around 10 p.m. Saturday in the 0-300 block of South Adams Street. An unknown man is believed to have entered the woman's residence through an unlocked door and sexually assaulted her, Patch reported.

The man fled before officers arrived, and police have since been unable to find him. Officials said in an update Wednesday evening that they believe the man drove away in a red or maroon Ford Fusion sedan. Law enforcement shared the photos and a video of the car "in hopes it may help identify the vehicle and suspect."

Police described the man as having a medium build with a full beard. He wore shoes, long shorts, a jacket and a baseball cap.
