New Oswego Robotics Team Finished 2nd in Summer Competition

New Oswego Community FTC Robotics Team Finished 2nd in Chicago Robotics Invitational Competition

A new community robotics team Turbo Charged that was started in May of 2018 had their debut competition on Saturday July 21st in the Chicago Robotics Invitation at Francis J. Parker school in Chicago. In a field of 21 teams from 7 states, team Turbo Charged finished 2nd as the number two alliance captain in the competition. Seven Students from Turbo Charged in grades 8-12 participated in the prototype, design, 3D printing of parts and programing of the robot. This robot was completed in 12 hours of hard work from the team and then was tested at multiple outreach events before attending the competition.

The team competes in the First Tech Challenge division of the FIRST program (For, Inspiration, Recognition, in Science & Technology) and follows the motto of Gracious Professionalism and respect to others in the community, work place and competition.
