Oswego Country Market Returns First Weekend Of June

A variety of fresh produce, meats, eggs, artisan cheeses, baked goods and handmade items will be sold at the open-air market.

OSWEGO, IL — You know it's summer when the Oswego Country Market once again returns to town with fresh produce and baked goods.

This year, the farmers market will begin June 2 and run through Sept. 29. It will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Sunday on Main Street.

Shoppers will be able to peruse a variety of fresh produce, meats, eggs, artisan cheeses, baked goods and handmade items at the open-air market organized by the Oswegoland Park District.

  • Samson Sharpening

Similar to years past, patrons will be able to use their Link cards to purchase food items permitted by the United States Department of Agriculture's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. To start, shoppers can go to the Oswegoland Park District info tent at the market and use their cards to obtain $1 and $5 tokens, which won't expire.

Vendors with SNAP-eligible products will display a sign at their booths.
