Oswego Explorer Breakfast Benefits Robotics Team

The all-you-can-eat event is Feb. 24.

On February 24, 2018, the Oswego Police Explorer Post 3525 and the Kiwanis Club of Oswego will be hosting a pancake breakfast fundraiser at Oswego High School. The all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast will be from 8am-Noon and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the SD308 Robotics Program / Gear It Forward 2338 which includes over 100 student participants.

The District 308 Robotics Team participates in FIRST Robotics with sponsorship from area businesses. There are a variety of opportunities for student participation including project management/tracking, web design, marketing and community outreach, mechanical build team, electrical build team, programming team, and many more.

Participation on the team is open to 9th-12th grades at both Oswego and Oswego East High Schools.

The mission of Gear It Forward and FTC teams Mach Speed, Gearaffes, Gears of Fury, and Super Sonics, is to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics by incorporating these fields of study into the foundations of our team, collaborate with experienced professionals to improve practical skills, as well as inspire and teach our current and future community through active engagement in our local area, and beyond.

Advance tickets for this event are $7 and are available online at Event Brite or you can purchase them in person at the Oswego Police Station or the Oswego Chamber of Commerce.

Tickets are also available from your local Kiwanis Club members, Explorers Post members, and student participants of the SD308 Robotics club.

You can also get tickets for $8 on the day of the event at the door. Breakfast will include sausage, your choice of beverage, and all-you-can-eat-pancakes! We will also have a robotics demonstration and a coloring station for kids.

Come enjoy breakfast and stay to visit the Oswego Hometown Expo on the same day at OHS. This fundraising event is a great way to help support three organizations that benefit local youth in our community!
