Oswego Weather: Labor Day 2021 Forecast

OSWEGO, IL — Despite a recent uptick in coronavirus cases across the United States, millions of Americans are likely to move ahead with Labor Day celebrations this year, marking the holiday with outdoor barbecues, town festivals and family camping trips.

While celebrating safely is paramount, Mother Nature also holds the power to make or break a perfect outdoor holiday celebration.

This weekend, PrairieFest is returning to Oswego after a year on hiatus due to the pandemic. Typically held Father's Day weekend, this year's festival was postponed to Labor Day, but it'll take place in June again next year.

Along with a carnival hosted by Windy City Amusements, Uncle Kracker will be among the performers headlining PrairieFest.

Will Mother Nature be on our side this Labor Day weekend? We may be in luck, according to the most recent forecast for Oswego.

As you head home from work Friday evening, expect some sunshine peeking through the clouds. As of Tuesday, Friday's forecast shows a high of 73 with a 33 percent chance of rain.
