OSWEGO, IL — Oswego has been treated to warm, spring-like weather this week, and the warmth is supposed to continue into St. Patrick's Day on Thursday. But it won't be all sunshine as the forecast shows the weather to be cloudy with a passing shower.

Oswego has seen sunshine and no rain so far this week, but the luck ends with the 80 percent chance of rain on St. Patrick's Day. Meteorologists expect the rain to continue into the weekend before the sun once again comes out Sunday.

Chances of rain Thursday will start to increase as the temperature rises, forecasts show. The warmest part of the day — between 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. — also shows the highest chance of rain, between 40 to 51 percent.

The temperature, which started Monday with a high of 55, has continued to increase throughout the week, culminating in Wednesday and Thursday's highs of 68 and 66. Temperatures will dip into the low 40s on Friday and Saturday before returning to the high 50s Sunday.

Despite the rain, St. Patrick's Day is looking to be just two degrees lower than the warmest day of the week.
