Oswego YMCA's Jingle Bell Jog Color Run, A Family Tradition

One-mile color fun run is an fun, easygoing family event with all the extras.

OSWEGO, IL — A family-friendly one-mile color run will take pace Saturday, Dec. 2. The Jingle Bell Jog is open to anyone in the community. The Oswego Family YMCA is hosting the free event where families color themselves on the run, with a victory throw every two minutes from the finish line. Participants are encouraged to dress in jingle bells, stockings, elf hats or Santa hats.

Check-in is at 11 a.m. and the run begins at noon, directly after Breakfast With Santa. There will be a bounce house, music, warm-up exercises and stretching, snacks and T-shirt decorating. Registration and festivities are at the Family Y, 160 E. Washington Street in Oswego. Pre-registration is recommended online. The race is free and includes one color packet per runner but more can be purchased for $3 each or 2 for $5. T-shirts are available for purchase, as well.

The race will go on, no matter what the weather brings.
