Petition Filing For Oswego's April 2023 Consolidated Election Begins

The seats of village president and three trustees will be up for grabs in April's Consolidated Election. See who has filed petitions so far.

OSWEGO, IL — Starting Monday, candidates for positions including village trustees and village president began filling their petition packets with the Village of Oswego ahead of April's Consolidated Election.

In Oswego, the seats currently held by trustees James Marter II, Terry Olson and Brian Thomas will be up for election April 4, 2023. The role of village president, currently held by Troy Parlier, is also up for grabs. Both positions have four-year terms.

After circulating their petitions for three months, candidates running for office began filing their petitions Monday for the upcoming April election. The deadline for candidates to file is 5 p.m. Dec. 19.

Tina Touchette, the village's clerk, said she has not yet received petitions for the current filing period. The following is a list of those who filed in November.
