OSWEGO, IL — The intersection of Collins and Grove roads closed to through traffic Monday as the Kendall County Highway Department begins constructing a roundabout, officials announced.

The Deerpath Creek and Old Reserve subdivisions are impacted and will require drivers to take a detour using Plainfield Road, Schlapp Road, Cherry Road and Grove Road.

County officials anticipate the project to be done by late December, weather permitting. If work can't be completed by then, the roads will reopen through the winter months until the crews can begin working again, according to a news release from the Village of Oswego.
