Teen Batters Staff Members at Oswego High School: Police

The boy allegedly entered the school without permission as students were leaving for the day.

OSWEGO, IL — A 16-year-old Oswego boy received multiple charges after allegedly battering staff members at Oswego High School.

Police responded to the school at around 12:30 p.m. Friday when it was reported that the boy entered the school without permission as students were leaving for the day, according to the Oswego Police Department.

The boy did not comply when he was asked to leave the school and during the incident, the juvenile battered staff members, police said. The Oswego Police School Resource Officer eventually took the juvenile into custody and arrested him.

The boy, of Bluegrass Parkway, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery, resisting/obstructing a peace officer and disorderly conduct. He was booked at the Oswego Police Department and brought to the Kane County Juvenile Justice Center pending court proceedings.
