OSWEGO, IL — The ongoing Wolf's Crossing project to widen the roadway to four lanes was slated to be completed earlier this month. Now, it will not reopen until the end of December due to utility delays, the village announced on Thursday.

The project, which targets the area at Harvey Road, will now reopen to through traffic at the end of the month, the village said. Officials said that they are working with contractors as well as the Illinois Department of Transportation and ComEd to complete the project.

The road will open as soon as possible, the village said on Thursday.

The Village of Oswego has been planning for the expansion of Wolf's Crossing to a modern, four-lane road that is designed to be a gateway to the community and to accommodate current and future growth in Oswego.

Village officials said last month that work on the first segment of the project was to have been completed by the end of November. However, citing utility delays, the village said that work would not be done until the first part of December.
