Village President To Take Stroll With Residents During Event

The walk is part of Move With The Mayor, a nationwide program where elected officials promote the benefits of physical activity.

OSWEGO, IL — Residents can meet the newly elected Village President Ryan Kauffman by taking a walk with him Saturday.

The event will commence at 1:30 p.m. at the main shelter at Prairie Point Park, 4120 Plainfield Road.

The walk, part of Move With The Mayor, is an aspect of a national campaign where mayors challenge residents to be more physically active to lower their chances of heart disease and its risk factors, including high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes.

After the walk, locals can go have refreshments with Kauffman at the main shelter. This part of the event is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
