Chicago Rush has 5 youth soccer clubs around the chicagoland area, based out of Oswego, Minooka, Batavia, Bartlett, Lincolnshire, and their surrounding areas. The clubs have a junior academy program, which caters to players 4-6 years old an introduction to soccer, and then an Academy program which is a bridge from park district soccer to competitive teams for 5-7 year olds, and then 7-18 year olds for all year round competitive teams.

Coach John puts our Junior academy players through some exciting activities, teaching the fundamentals in a fun, safe, learning environment.

Tryouts will be held at various locations throughout the month of May and open to all players. The professional coaching staff will evaluate your child and best place them on a team where they feel that they can be developed.

Executive Director, Michael Cockroft said, “We have seen great growth with our clubs over the last few years, we continue to stay connected to the community, yet offer a great opportunity for our members, locally, regionally, and nationally. To be able to provide this to our local residents is amazing for our players.”

Chicago Rush also has a Non-Profit Foundation, with regular fundraising to help offset low income families membership fees, and offers scholarship awards to long serving players in preparation for college. The foundation also works within the community, providing services to local food banks, and other Non-Profit organizations.

Ann Stephens, Director of Chicago Rush FV said, “We started a scholarship fund in memory of one of our family members who lost their battle to cancer in 2019. Every year we raise money in her memory, and provide scholarships to players heading off to college.”

Congratulations to our 2021 April Claussner Memorial Scholarship recipients and to all those that made donations to make this possible!! April was a very special and valued member of our Chicago Rush Fox Valley family. She was kind, caring, understanding, hardworking and a friend to all she met. It is an honor to present this scholarship in her name.
