Woman Kicks Deputy, Resists Arrest In Domestic Incident: KCSO

Officials said the incident occurred while deputies were responding to a fight between multiple people in Oswego Township.

OSWEGO, IL — A St. Charles woman was charged with aggravated battery after officials at the Kendall County Sheriff's Office allege she kicked a deputy while resisting arrest in a domestic incident Saturday.

Sabina Baran, 32, is facing two counts of aggravated battery to a peace officer, one count of obstructing identification and one count of resisting/obstructing an officer after the incident that occurred at 10:13 p.m. in the 0-99 block of Afton Drive in Oswego Township.

Deputies were called to the residence for a report of a fight involving multiple people who were "uncooperative and argumentative," Deputy Dan Briars told Patch. During the investigation, he said Baran made physical contact with a deputy, kicking while being escorted to a squad car and in custody.

The woman, of North Fifth Street in St. Charles, was transported to the Kendall County jail where she remains in custody as of Monday afternoon.
