A woman began screaming and yelling at others after she was told she couldn't make a U-turn in a crosswalk, according to police.

OSWEGO, IL — An incident that began Tuesday morning with an illegal U-turn near an elementary school turned into an ordinance violation issued to a woman, police said.

Oswego officers were called at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday to Southbury Elementary School for a disturbance after a woman reportedly made a U-turn in a crosswalk. When she was told she was not allowed to do that, police said she began screaming and yelling at others.

Multiple officers responded to the call and were on the scene for about 45 minutes, according to a news release.

The woman was issued an ordinance violation for disorderly conduct, "alleging she acted in such unreasonable manner as to alarm or disturb another and to provoke a breach of the peace," officials said.
