Youth Law Enforcement Academy Applications Open In Kendall County

The Kendall County program is designed to introduce the younger generation to the fields of law enforcement and criminal justice.

KENDALL COUNTY, IL — Local teenagers interested in law enforcement have the opportunity to learn about the field at the Kendall County Sheriff's Office Law Enforcement Youth Academy.

This summer's program kicks off June 11 and takes place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday through Aug. 8, excluding the week of July 4.

Designed to introduce the younger generation to police officers and their various jobs, the program will allow participants to attend lectures, role-play in mock scenarios, do physical training, become certified in CPR and give back to the community through service events.

The academy includes structured activities designed to highlight different parts of the law enforcement and criminal justice fields.
