PALOS PARK, IL — McCarthy is running for the top position in Palos Park government. She claims she has a plan but has yet to reveal that plan.

In her response to The Patch survey, she said, “public safety is a top priority” and that a number of residents have told her they are buying ring cameras to monitor their homes. As part of the 100-day review, McCarthy said she’d research if the Police Department can hire more full-time officers.” According to neighborhoodscout.com, Palos Park is safer than 87% of US cities and policescorecard.org states that Palos Park has more officers per population than 60% of Illinois Police Departments. So, is McCarthy’s plan to waste taxpayers’ dollars by hiring more full-time officers?

McCarthy also stated she has concerns with “a number of vacant stores near the Jewel-Osco”. 12,456 sq.ft. out of 162,422 sq.ft. of storefronts near the Jewel-Osco are vacant, which means this retail area has an 92.5% occupancy rate – not too shabby! She’d like to establish an economic development plan to entice local and larger businesses to open there. Three of these storefronts are non-contiguous, so which “large” business can you fit there McCarthy?

Ronette McCarthy doesn’t have the requisite knowledge to run a municipality. She has no plan. She doesn’t understand the economics behind running a government, as proven by the facts above. This lady is full of fluff and nothing more!

Nicole Milovich-Walters is a woman of substance, someone who is a proven Palos Park leader, and who has committed herself to the taxpayers of Palos Park by having a plan and executing flawlessly. On April 4 don’t vote for fluff. Vote Nicole Milovich-Walters for Mayor of Palos Park!
Sincerely yours,
Mary Ostrowski
