District 202 alum lands job at Big Ten school

A Plainfield School District 202 alum from 2003, Brenton Emanuel, landed a job at Big Ten School, University of Southern California, as assistant track and field sprint coach.

Brenton was a former Plainfield Central student who played football and track and field. He went on to run and graduate from Eastern Illinois University. He's coached at other big-name schools including Eastern Illinois and the University of Nebraska.

Plainfield student gets dean’s list recognition

Emily Smith of Plainfield, a Trine University student, earned Dean's List recognition for the Spring 2024 semester.

Smith is majoring in Forensic Science.

To earn Dean's List honors, Trine University students must complete a minimum of 12 hours and have a grade point average of 3.500-3.749.

Plainfield North grad makes Wisconsin Lutheran College dean’s list

Ashley Corley, of Plainfield, a senior at Wisconsin Lutheran College, has been named to the college's dean's list for the spring 2024 semester. Ashley is a graduate of Plainfield South High School.

To be eligible for dean's list, a student must carry a semester GPA of 3.6 or higher.

Central College dean’s list includes Plainfield student

Central College Class of 2026 student Sara Sienkiewicz, from Plainfield, IL, has been named to the dean's list for the Spring 2024 Semester.

The honor is awarded to full-time students who achieve a 3.500 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale while taking 12 or more graded credit hours for the semester.

Local student makes president’s list at Southeast Missouri State University

Jenny Shook of Plainfield, IL, has been named to the Southeast Missouri State University President's List for academic achievement during the spring 2024 semester.

Students named to the list earned at least a 4.0 grade point average and completed at least 12 hours of standard graded credit in a semester.
