Deborah Bartleson Fischer of Morris, Illinois passed away at the age of 71, Wednesday, August 21, 2024.

Deborah Bartleson Fischer of Morris, Illinois passed away at the age of 71, Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Ascension Health St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Illinois.

Debbie was born May 18, 1953, in St. Louis to the late Joan (Schoopmire) and Robert Bartleson. She was raised and educated in Fenton, Missouri graduated with the class of 1971 from Northwest High.

Debbie is the beloved mother of Kenneth Fischer, Jr., Kevin (Christy) Fischer, both of Morris, and Kristen (Josh) Clark of Olympia, WA; loving and devoted grandmother of Jade Fischer, Christopher Northern, Kole, Ryan, and Matthew Fischer, Avery and Evelyn Clark; dear great-grandmother of Bailey. Also surviving are her fiancé, Bob Adams; sister, Karen (Earl) Warren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Fischer, Sr., daughter, Jamie Fischer; her parents, and brother, Robert Bartleson, Jr.

Deb, a social and kind-spirited woman, enjoyed shopping, jewelry, traveling and most especially attending her grandkid's sporting events and activities. She retired from WalMart recently after 25 years of service.

Visitation for Deborah Fischer will be Monday, August 26, 2024, from 4-8 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 1201 W. Route 6 (at Deerpath Drive) in Morris. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Troy Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
