PEHS Alum 1st In School History To Make College World Series

A Plainfield East alum is the first in school history to make it to the NCAA Division 1 Baseball World Series.

PLAINFIELD, IL — A Plainfield East High School alum is the first in school history to make the NCAA Division 1 Baseball World Series.

Brady Louck graduated from Plainfield East in 2023 and went on to become a pitcher for Florida State University.

His No. 8 seed team will face off against No. 1 seed University of Tennessee to open the College World Series on Friday in Omaha, Nebraska. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.

Going to the College World Series is a dream come true for him, according to a news release from Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202.

"I am also very thankful to my former teammates and the community for their continued support," Louck said. "Being a part of the 2021 PEHS State Championship team is a memory that I will never forget."
