Arthur Jay Kowitt, 89. Beloved husband of the late Leonie Kowitt nee Goldberg. Loving father of Holly Kowitt (David Manis), Harlan (Penny) Kowitt, and Suzi (Andy) Katlin. Proud grandfather of Julia, Fisher, and Jenna Katlin, Jason and Maya Kowitt. Dear brother of Avrill (the late Buddy) Leviton. Arthur grew up in West Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago, attended Sullivan High School, University of Wisconsin, and Northwestern Law School. He was a partner at the Mayer, Brown and Platt law firm in Chicago until his retirement in 1993. He lived in Evanston, Illinois, Michiana, Michigan, and Longboat Key, Florida.
