2 Orland Hills Carjackers Crash In Tinley Park, Remain At Large: TPPD

Police said 2 men carjacked a vehicle Tuesday at an Orland Hills Walmart and then crashed the car in Tinley Park before fleeing police.

ORLAND HILLS, IL — A carjacking in Orland Hills resulted in a car crash in Tinley Park where two men got away from police, officials said.

According to police, a person was carjacked by two men in the Walmart parking lot at 9265 195th Street Tuesday at around 2:15 p.m.

Tinley Park police confirmed the vehicle later crashed near 160th Street and Blackwater Court and the two men fled on foot.

As of Tuesday morning, neither man had been found. Deputy Police Chief Lawrence Rafferty told Patch there is no danger to the surrounding neighborhood anymore as officials believe the duo left the area.

Orland Hills Police Department is investigating the carjacking.
